The investment in Arbaflame in 2008 and the acquisition of Statoil’s wood pellets business in 2009 marked the start of Pemco’s focus on renewable energy and biomass production.

In 2012, Pemco took over Peterson Packaging, a manufacturer of corrugated cardboard packaging and specialised paper and cardboard products.

Pemco has been a central stakeholder in Norway’s first large-scale onshore salmon farm since the launch of Nordic Aquafarms in 2015.

Pemco has invested in various businesses that produce medicinal aids and health and hygiene products.

Pemco is the majority shareholder in the company Kemetyl, which manufactures and supplies chemical household products.

Pemco invests in start-ups focused on challenging established industries using new technologies.
